At this meeting, we will discuss some upcoming events (Such as National Night Out in August) as well as the usual agenda items per Article VIII of our By-Laws). We will also be looking to fill two vacant board positions, Vice Chair and Secretary.
Additionally, we’re excited to be hosting two guest speakers from the Fairfax County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). David and Jonathan represent the 22306 area and will be discussing topics such as:
Disasters Happen
When big disasters happen, the FD gets overwhelmed and some communities may be on their own for one to three days (or more)
People and communities need to be prepared
Preparedness means: Make plan; Build a kit; stay informed; and get involved
CERT Teaches all of this
